Amelia has been with Buena Onda from the start. At 38 years old she is a pro at making Buena Onda dresses and mochilas. Her favorite thing to create is mini mochilas. She has two daughters and is a single parent.

Alexis is 21 years old and has no children. Like most Wayuu girls she got into making mochilas at a young age. Alexis is best known for her work on making Pom Poms which are hung on the mochilas. She has no children and lives with her family.

Luz Maria is the mother of 2 children. She has been making mochilas and dresses since she was a little girl. Luz's specific specialty is dresses. She is excited for this opportunity to sell mochilas on Etsy.

Marisa has been crafting mochilas ever since she was a little girl, when her mother first taught her the process. However, Marisa has only been selling her mochilas for the last 7 years in the local city and his happy to now be selling Etsy.

Angelica Epiayu is 18 years old, but don't let her youth trick you. She is an amazing weaver when it comes to making solid color mochilas. She is from the comunidad Wairraka near Maicao. She plans to use the sale of mochilas to fund college.

Maria has been crafting mochilas since she was a little girl. An expert of the mochila, Maria is know for her tight knit patterns and designs.

Originally from Nebraska, Kevin Kennedy spends most of the year living in Colombia working directly with the Wayuu Families that produce our amazing Buena Onda Products.  Kevin's hope it to create a company that brings fair-trade fashion from around the world to your front doorstep.  He wanted to create a company that supports different communities without disturbing their culture or traditions.
